Si aujourd’hui, six épisodes principaux de la série sont sortis, avec des spin off tel qu’un acoquinement avec Professeur Layton, c’est uniquement la première trilogie que nous retrouvons aujourd’hui dans ce nouveau remaster Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney – Justice For All Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulation On retrouve donc ici en tout environ 14 enquêtes réparties entre les trois jeux où vous incarnerez le fameux avocat Phoenix Wright. Au moment de la sortie, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy propose des sous-titres uniquement en anglais, japonais et chinois. Pour profiter du jeu dans notre langue, il faudra patienter pour la mise à jour prévue cet été. S’il est dommage de devoir attendre quelques mois pour une localisation déjà disponible depuis la version Nintendo DS, le remaster 3DS avait été boudé à l’époque donc cela reste tout de même plaisant de savoir que Capcom fasse attention aux fans de la série. Le retour d’une trilogie culte Parlons maintenant du jeu en lui-même. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy est un visual novel où vous incarnerez le jeune avocat Phoenix Wright. Ce sera à vous de dénouer la vérité lors des affirmation mensongères des témoins par rapport à votre client. De nombreuses enquêtes sont d’ailleurs prétexte à dresser le portrait de nombreux personnages hauts en couleurs. Si le premier titre met en avant les débuts de notre avocat préféré, le second débutera avec un Phoenix Wright totalement amnésique. Le troisième épisode, favori des fans, proposera également de véritables phases de flash-back et vous proposera même d’incarner Mia Fey à ses débuts. Il y a vraiment un aspect complémentaire d’enchaîner les trois titres à la suite et c’est ainsi un véritable bonheur à parcourir les enquêtes. La grande force de Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy, c’est bien son écriture. Que ce soit dans les dialogues, pouvant souvent être amusants, les situations créées, tout fonctionne et est dirigé d’une main de maître. On sent d’ailleurs sur la longueur une véritable évolution de notre personnage, c’est quelque chose de très plaisant et bien entendu bienvenu, surtout quand nous jouons sur trois épisodes le même protagoniste. Chaque enquête procure un vrai plaisir que ce soit dans la découverte, l’enquête ou même les retournements de situations qui arriveront très souvent. C’est d’ailleurs quelque chose de très fort car au final, on se souvient d’une enquête dès que l’on revoit les premiers personnages. Tout le monde se souvient par exemple du cas du samouraï télévisé, où nous enquêtons sur le plateau du tournage de la série, avant d’interroger la mégère chargée de la sécurité. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy est un vrai retour dans le jeu vidéo des années 2000. Concernant l’aspect gameplay du titre, le jeu vous proposera principalement de lire des lignes de dialogues afin de suivre l’histoire. Bien entendu, le plus gros aspect reste les phases procès du jeu. Ce sera a vous, au moment des témoignages, de déceler les mensonges des témoins. Vous pourrez mettre la pression sur une phrase précise, ou présenter des preuves. Si les premières affaires de chaque titre traînent un peu, faisant office de tutoriel, les enquêtes suivantes seront beaucoup plus posées mais mieux rythmées. Mais ce n’est pas tout car chaque épisode propose de nouvelles mécaniques de gameplay pour ajouter des nouvelles spécificités. Les Verrous-psychés, apparus dans le second épisode, vous proposeront de dévoiler les secrets de certains personnages et révéler des informations supplémentaires utiles lors de certains procès coriaces. Il faudra pour débloquer ces verrous, présenter des preuves aux personnages pour les ouvrir. Que vaut le remaster ? Le premier aspect que l’on remarque lorsque l’on lance pour la première fois Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy c’est le travail effectué visuellement. C’est simple, alors qu’il y avait un gros gap entre les version GBA/DS et IOS, le gap est encore impressionnant avec cette version-là. C’est simple, nous n’avons jamais vu cette trilogie à un tel niveau de dessin. On redécouvre donc avec plaisir l’ensemble des décors, des personnages et de leurs expressions pendant les nombreuses lignes de dialogues. C’est ainsi très plaisant de pouvoir redécouvrir dans ces conditions les traits de Tatsuro Iwamoto. Du côté de l’interface également, ce qu’elle a perdu en boutons tactiles, elle le gagne en lisibilité de l’ensemble. Vous n’aurez désormais qu’une bande permettant de proposer les dialogues, et un rappel en dessous pour les différentes interactions. Sur une plateforme comme la PS4 par exemple, cela rend pour le coup vraiment bien et gagne en lisibilité. Les musiques ont également été ré-arrangées pour le plus grand bonheur des amateurs des thèmes de la série. Que ce soit ceux des deux premiers épisodes, signés par Masakazu sugiromi et Akemi Kimura ou la mythique bande-son de Noriyuki Iwadare du troisième excellent épisode. Les thèmes restent tout aussi fonctionnels pour certains, mémorisables pour d’autres. Au final, la partie musicale reste encore aujourd’hui un point fort de la série. Par contre, on reprochera au titre ses effets sonores, notamment de déplacement de texte beaucoup trop daté, énervant au plus haut point et qui est impossible d’enlever à moins d’enlever l’ensemble des bruitages du titre. Si vous n’avez jamais fait ces trois jeux, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trilogy est indispensable du fait déjà fu contenu proposé. En effet, l’ensemble des affaires sont présentes, le tout avec toute la partie technique rehaussée et actualisée. Cependant, comme nous vous l’avons dit, nous ne pouvons que vous conseiller d’attendre l’arrivée de la mise à jour qui vous permettra de redécouvrir une trilogie culte du jeu vidéo japonais en français.
